| Peg Gignoux offers
art quilting residencies and book arts workshops suitable for a
variety of populations. An accomplished facilitator of many vibrant
textile collaborations, Gignoux consistently links literacy with
visual images. Working closely with the goals of the host organization,
Gignoux provides a curriculum of playful and interactive studio
activities that successfully integrates color, pattern, symbol with
collage, poetry and prose. Activating dye, paint and thread, Gignoux
has created dynamic story quilts for public display with hospitalized
children, at risk youth, K-12 schools and university students throughout
North Carolina in residencies that range from 5 to 20 sessions. Gignoux often partners with writer Susie Wilde who leads groups in collaborative story writing workshops. Art Quilt residencies: Work is created for specific site and designed around a particular subject developed with the host organization. Story text can be printed digitally on cloth in multiple languages upon request. Surface Design Projects require 5-20 sessions. Fees vary according to length and complexity of project. Professional Development/Teacher Training Book Arts workshop are also available upon request. Contact Us: mjgignoux@gmail.com |
